Hello, welcome to the site for The Crusade of Penance Mod for Dawn of War: Dark Crusade.

This is a single-player campaign mod for the Dawn of War: Dark Crusade game. It follows the story of a Space Marine chapter, as they battle against alien Orks, Tau and the forces of Chaos while undertaking a 100 year crusade of penance. On this site you will find information on the mod's conception, background and progress, as well as a list of members who have contributed towards the mod itself. Our forums are the place to go for updates on the mod's progress, and banter in general.

The Crusade of Penance mod is in a constant state of evolution, and I would not like to state anything as definitive until the beta version has been thoroughly tested; however, here is a brief list of what to expect.

You take control of the 'Death Bringers' Space Marine Chapter (led by one Captain Mortisius), a chapter with a sorry history of corruption and betrayal. Sent on a crusade to amend for their former failings, the Death Bringers are unexpectedly ordered to investigate disturbances of a dark nature in a remote region of space bordering Tau territory; and one planet in particular. This campaign follows them as they encounter rural Orks, Chaos insurgents and local Tau forces; slowly heading towards an event that will force them to face their past demons and prove their worth.

The campaign will add;
- New Space Marines troops.
- New Chaos troops.
- New character commanders.
- Dreadnoughts (closer2codex/Octopus Rex's) with new selectable weapons.
- 9 new and original maps/missions complete with cut-scenes.
- More 'realistically' sized troops & vehicles.
- Additional music for in-game & menu.
- Linear single-player campaign, similar to WA or vanilla DoW.
- Additonal alterations and fidgeting.
